1.    Scope of Responsibilities

Provide day-to-day HSSE service /advice that are effective and suitable to support Projects HSSE objectives and ensure HSSE requirements are widely and consistently understood and implemented.

2.    Primary Duties

·    Provide advice for day-to-day HSSE activities in accordance with designated areas of responsibility.

·    Provide required HSSE support for the project activities (Construction and Commissioning) in their area of responsibility.
·    Ensure to implement Petrofac HSSE initiatives in their respective areas.
·    Coordinate with Construction/ Commissioning teams and ensure implementation of Project HSSE Plan and Operational control procedures requirements in their area of responsibility.
·    Conduct HSSE Inspections in their allocated areas and ensure corrective actions are taken with in the agreed time frame.
·    Ensure Golden Rules of Safety requirements are communicated and implemented.
·    Mentor Line supervision in Petrofac Assurance Index (PAI) and Safe Act observation programmes.
·    Participate in Tool box talks and other stand down talks with work force.
·    Participate in development of Task Based Risk Assessments / JSA for project activities and ensure control measures are in place.
·    Conduct spot checks on activities (Working at heights, lifting operations, Driving, Chemicals, Hot works, excavations etc.,) and ensure all the control measures are implemented.
·    Conduct Golden Rules of Safety Audits regularly.
·    Provide Job safety trainings when required.
·    Conduct Gas testing when required
·    Ensure effective implementation of Permit to Work/ Safe System work in their respective areas.
·    Maintain a daily working relationship with the line supervision (Petrofac & Sub contractors) in relation of their respective compliancwitthe provisions of thHSSE policies, HSSPlan and legal requirements.
·     Participate in Incident Investigations and ensure corrective actions are closed with the time frame.
·    Be part of Site Emergency Response Team and assume ER roles during emergencies.
·    Provide regular, reliable reports and data for monitoring HSSE performance.
·    Carry out other related duties as advised by the supervisor.
·       Ensure that all work equipment’s are inspected and labelled- certified by competent & authorized personnel
·       Ensure that adequate number of first aid kits, eye wash stations, fire prevention and firefighting equipment are present at site and inspected periodically.
·       Conduct spot checks for worker training records
·       STOP and report all unsafe acts and unsafe conditions.

3.    Job/Cost Impact
Ensure that the Project is executed in compliance with Client HSSE requirements & local laws and regulations.

4.    Decision Making Authority
Decisions are limited to site HSSE requirement after consulting the Supervisor and advise/ recommend HSSE requirement for projects.

6.    Minimum Requirement
Ø  University Degree (minimum 4 years of  Bachelor’s Degree) NEBOSH General Certificate / OSHA Internal Auditors Training 4 years of HSSE experience, 2 of which is Oil & Gas experience Or High School or equivalent degree
Ø  NEBOSH General Certificate 5 years of HSSE experience, 3 of which is Oil & Gas experience
